CLA 311 - Origins of Western Thought: Ancient Philosophy
A study of the origins of western thought from its earliest pre-socratic developments to the Hellenistic period, with central focus on the classical philosophers Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle. Focus will be on the philosophers' writings, but attention also will be given to context and tradition. Cross-listed with PHI 311. May be repeated for credit if content differs.
