Badge in Homebrewing Beer
This badge is designed to give students a working foundation in beer brewing and beer evaluation.
Students will learn the skills required to brew beer at home and begin to develop skills of sensory analysis (ability to identify various styles and to evaluate whether a beer meets the requirements of a particular style by assessing aroma, flavor, mouthfeel and appearance, and to identify common off-flavors in beer). Additionally, students will learn how to determine and describe the major characteristics of a beer, including ABV and IBU.
