Cannabis Operations and Community Planning Certificate

The cannabis operations and community planning certificate will prepare students with skills to work in the retail cannabis industry. Those interested in non-profit and/or governmental intersections with cannabis operations will gain a wider understanding of this developing industry. An important component of this certificate is an applied field experience (internship).

Admission

This certificate is open and available to current enrolled GVSU students by selecting its election in Banner. Non-degree seeking students can be admitted into the certificate by contacting the School of Community Leadership and Development office.

This certificate is offered online.

Requirements for the Certificate

This is a 15-credit certificate. Students first complete the nine-credit badge in retail cannabis operations and then can elect six more credits to finish the certificate.

Additional Coursework Required for the certificate:

  1. Complete a field experience component (depending on previous level of completed HTM internships)
  1. Complete this required course.
