MUS 495 - Musical Synthesis and Comparison

A course exploring the similarities and differences of music from a wide range of eras and provenances, not limited to the Western classical tradition, drawing on musical scores, scholarly writing, and multimedia sources. Culmination of the undergraduate degree for BM and BA music students; preparation for graduate coursework. Prerequisite: Completion of one upper-level music elective MUS 302-MUS 308, MUS 330-MUS 337.
