EGR 113 - Introduction to CAD/CAM

Computer -aided design (CAD) and computer -aided manufacturing (CAM) theory and applications are introduced. Topics include CAD/CAM systems, geometric modeling, tool path generation, integration of CAD/CAM with the production machine, NC machining, and additive manufacturing. Offered fall and winter semesters. Prerequisites: EGR 111 (may be taken concurrently), MTH 122, MTH 123, or MTH 124 or placement into MTH 201 or above based on Grand Valley math placement.
