EDI 342 - Literacy Methods and Children's Literature for Birth to Kindergarten

Focuses on applying one's learning of language and literacy development to the creation of lessons that incorporate best practices for teaching balanced and the new literacies, setting up a literacy-rich and inclusive environment, and using literature to support children's cultural identities and skills related to reading, writing, and oral language. Offered winter semester. Prerequisites: EDI 216, ENG 208, and EDI 315. Corequisites: EDI 343 and EDI 344.
