The following minor requires a GPA of 2.7 to be recommended for teacher certification.

- CIS 163 - Computer Science II (4 credits)
- CIS 231 - Problem Solving Using Spreadsheets (3 credits)
- CIS 233 - Concepts of Database Systems (3 credits)
- CIS 237 - Introduction to Network Management (3 credits)
- CIS 309 - Teaching Computer Science (3 credits)
- CIS 351 - Computer Organization and Assembly Language (4 credits)
- MTH 225 - Discrete Structures: Computer Science (3 credits) OR MTH 227 - Linear Algebra I (3 credits) (for math certification majors)
