SOC 290 - Sociology of Education

An investigation into aspects of formal education (institution and system) employing a sociological framework. A predominantly macro-level approach is used to explore theory, research, and topics related to education, leading to a better understanding of the role of education, its processes, and how it impacts members of society. Offered winter semester.
