HNR 235 - Democracy and Political Thinking

Course explores the idea of democracy and its alternatives, with a focus on citizen participation, political judgment, and basic values of freedom, equality, and tolerance. The course pays special attention to the possibilities of, and obstacles to, student participation in politics, including the student's role in campus government. Fulfills Foundations - Social and Behavioral Sciences. Fulfills Cultures - U.S. Diversity. Offered fall semester.
