CIS 452 - Operating Systems Concepts
Fundamental operating systems concepts: processes and threads, CPU scheduling, coordination and synchronization, deadlock, memory management, input/output devices, file systems, distributed systems, protection and security. Case studies and lab exercises using modern operating systems. Offered fall and winter semesters. Prerequisites: CIS 241; CIS 351 or (EGR 326 and EGR major standing).
