ENG 307 - Teaching Writing: Elementary

A study of the writing process and of current theories of rhetoric, discourse analysis, language acquisition, and reading, all applied to teaching writing on the elementary level. A tutoring practicum may be required, and students will also work on their own writing. Required for the Language Arts emphasis. Should be taken prior to College of Education admission. Offered fall and winter semesters. Prerequisites: WRT 150 and sophomore status.
