EGR 443 - Electromagnetic Compatibility

This course explores various Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) techniques required to design an electronic product to meet EMC compliance regulations. Topics include radiated emissions and susceptibility, conducted emissions and susceptibility, and electromagnetic shielding. Students will design a switched-mode power supply (SMPS) and evaluate its performance against the current EMC regulations. Offered fall semester. Prerequisites: A grade of C or better in EGR 343. Admitted to electrical or interdisciplinary engineering major.
