EDR 621 - Current Issues and Trends in Literacy

Current Issues and Trends in Literacy is an advanced study of research in language acquisition and cognitive development. The course explores theoretical constructs underlying an interactive, intertextual view of literacy. Historical and multicultural trends regarding beliefs about the reader, the text, and contexts for instruction will be explored. Offered at least once a year. Prerequisite: Acceptance into a graduate certification program.
