PSY 500 - Introduction to School Psychology

This course will present an introduction to the theory, role, and function of school psychology as an academic and scientific discipline, as well as a professional field. Emphasis will be placed on understanding a behaviorally-oriented, intervention-focused, and empirically driven view of school psychology. Course offered each academic year. Prerequisite: Admission to the school psychology program or instructor's approval.
