NUR 703 - Nursing Informatics

This course provides an in-depth introduction to information systems and technologies that support nursing practice and improve patient care and outcomes. Relevant theories, as well as informatics issues and standards, will be addressed. Tools and strategies for building and managing information system components will be incorporated. Offered fall semester. Prerequisite: Admission to the D.N.P. program or permission of instructor.
