MUS 495 - Analytical Techniques (Capstone)

A comprehensive course in analysis, pursued through examination of scores, drawn from a wide range of periods, styles, media, and genres, with an emphasis on structural analysis, tonal relationships, motivic growth and development, and on the exploration of the aesthetic similarities of all music. Prerequisite: Completion of one upper-level music elective 302-308, 330-337.
