An interdisciplinary examination of demographic, socioeconomic, political, and cultural trends in the growing, diverse Latino/a community in the West Michigan area. Students have option of conducting an original research project or engaging in service-learning. Part of the Identity issue. Fulfills Cultures - U.S. Diversity. Offered fall semester of odd-numbered years. Prerequisite: Junior standing
