GEO 212 - Petrology

Study of the composition, mineralogy, and textures of igneous and metamorphic rocks; developing concepts and techniques to evaluate their origin and the physical and chemical processes associated with their formation and evolution. Lectures, laboratory, and required field trip. Offered winter semester. Prerequisites: GEO 112, GEO 211, and CHM 115.
