CJ 340 - Courts Process

An examination of court systems in the United States, emphasizing comparison of civil and criminal court systems; the roles and responsibilities of the legal actors in the system; the dynamics of courthouse justice, and historical and contemporary cases and controversies that have impacted the authority of the judicial branch. Offered fall and winter semesters. Prerequisite: CJ 201.
