MTH 122 - College Algebra

A study of functions and their graphs, including polynomial, rational, radical, exponential, logarithmic, and inverse functions; equations of circles; and sequences and series. Emphasis on applications, problem solving, and using graphic, numeric, and symbolic methods to understand and solve equations, inequalities, and systems of nonlinear equations. Please see the mathematics program for placement details. Fulfills Foundation - Mathematical Sciences. Offered fall, winter, and spring/summer semesters. Prerequisites: MTH 110 or assignment through Grand Valley math placement. Graphing calculator required: TI83 or TI84 recommended.
