RIT 331 - Radiation Therapy Principles and Practices I Lab

Overview of the basic foundations of radiation therapy including identification and application of ethical and legal issues, patient assessment, nutritional needs of patients, basic treatment techniques, and patient setup. An introduction to patient simulation, oncology pharmacology, treatment side effects, and patient care for the oncology patient will be presented. Offered fall semester. Prerequisite: Admission to the radiation therapy major or to the predosimetry emphasis program. Corequisites: RIS 322, RIT 330.
