RIT 330 - Radiation Therapy Principles and Practices I

Overview of the basic foundations of radiation therapy including identification and application of ethical and legal issues, patient assessment, nutritional needs of patients, basic treatment techniques, and patient setup. An introduction to patient simulation, oncology pharmacology, treatment side effects, and patient care for the oncology patient will be presented. Offered fall semester. Prerequisite: Admission to the radiation therapy major or to the predosimetry emphasis program. Corequisites: RIT 331, RIS 322.
