HIM 302 - Health Care Law
This course introduces the legal issues facing the healthcare industry. Topics include confidentiality, release of health information, subpoenas, liability issues, patient rights, fraud and abuse, and ethics of health information. Students will study federal and Michigan-specific laws and regulations related to protected health information through case studies. Course offered spring/summer semester. Prerequisite: HIM 301.
