CIS 457 - Data Communications

An introduction to data communications techniques, particularly as applied to computer networks. Physical media and devices, data link and network protocols, and other data communications topics will be studied. (3-0-2) Offered fall and winter semesters. Prerequisites: CIS 251 or EGR 326, admitted to CIS major or CIS minor standing, or EGR major standing.
