CHM 475 - Electrochemistry

This course introduces the basic concepts of electrochemistry. Course content builds upon chemical reactivity to include electron transfer and electromotive force. Topics focus on electroanalytical methods, energy storage electrochemistry, and chemical / electrical energy conversion. Applications to advanced energy systems will also be discussed. Crosslisted with CHM 575. Course offered winter semester of odd-numbered years. Prerequisites: CHM 115, MTH 122; and PHY 221 or PHY 231; or permission of instructor.
