HST 345 - Silk Roads

Focuses on the creation and maintenance of the great Silk Roads trade routes. The course addresses a number of important issues, including the significance of the pastoral nomadic confederations of Central Asia and their relationship with the sedentary kingdoms and empires of the Afro-Eurasian world zone. Offered fall semester, odd-numbered years. Prerequisites: HST 203 or junior standing.
