HST 328 - U.S. Constitutional and Legal History

Introduction to the constitutional and legal history of the United States, with particular emphasis on the social, political, and economic contexts of the law and Constitution, the origins of the Constitution and evolution of constitutional jurisprudence, the development of legal practices, and the relationship between the citizen and the state. Offered winter semester, even-numbered years. Prerequisites: HST 205 and HST 206; or junior standing.
