HST 316 - U.S. Civil Rights Movement History

This course will focus on United States civil rights leaders and their rhetoric of resistance, and focus on the social and cultural formations that undermined racial segregation. It will also examine the events and forces that created space for a successful movement. Offered fall semester. Prerequisite: Completion of Historical Perspectives Foundation or junior standing.
