HST 305 - America Confronts Modernity

Analysis of topics in the Gilded Age and progressive Era. Topics may include the modernization of technology, agriculture, and industry; urbanization; immigration; labor relations; international trade; military ventures; race relations at home and abroad; Progressivism and Populism; and the 1920s. Offered fall semester, even-numbered years. Prerequisites: HST 206 or junior standing.
