WGS 415 - Sociology of Gender

Explores gender as a socially constructed system of stratification. Topics may include: how ideas about gender shape childhood, families, education, work, violence, science, and social inequality. Examines how gender intersects with other socially constructed systems of stratification, including race, sexuality, class, age, and ability. Offered fall semester. Prerequisites: SOC 201 or SOC 205 or WGS 200
