A survey of German history and culture since 1870, including the Imperial period of Bismarck and Wilhelm II, World War I, the Weimar Republic, Hitler's Third Reich, World War II, post-war division, and reunified Germany. Offered winter semester, odd numbered years. Prerequisites: Historical Perspectives Foundation or junior standing.
