FRE 355 - Introduction to French Linguistics
An introduction to general linguistics through the French language. Phonology, sociolinguistics and dialectology, applied linguistics, bilingualism and language contact. Offered winter semester. Prerequisites: C (not C-) or better in core curriculum courses, FRE 301, FRE 304, FRE 306 and FRE 307, and FRE 305, or permission of instructor.
