FIN 629 - International Finance

Consideration of the problems of a world monetary order, including fixed versus floating exchange rates, the role of gold, key currencies, SDRs, balance of payments, etc. Subjects cover the current monetary system and its evolvement, including international monetary agencies and the pivotal role of the U.S. dollar. Investigation of the sources of financing for trade and foreign direct investment such as national capital markets, government programs, foreign capital markets, Eurocurrencies and Eurobonds. Prerequisite: Completion of MBA background equivalents.
