CMB 551 - Bioinformatics: Tools and Techniques for Life Scientists

In the age of genomics, bioinformatics became an integral component of all life sciences. This course will focus on practical applications of bioinformatics resources and tools for solving problems in life sciences, primarily biology. Major topics include: biological databases, sequence analysis, molecular phylogeny, microarray data analysis, proteomics and genomics. Offered fall semester. Prerequisite: Graduate standing or permission of instructor.
