Social behavior links to an animal's quest for evolutionary fitness. Social behavior is rooted in genes, and shaped by development, learning, and environment. Through interdisciplinary lenses, we will explore social behavior in diverse vertebrate and invertebrate species, discover behavioral commonalities among species, and learn how scientists study animal behavior. Part of the Identity Issue. Prerequisites: Junior standing. One course in biology or psychology recommended.
