WGS 358 - Women and Gender in South Africa

This course will cover current debates in social and political issues for women and gender in South Africa. Topics may include: history, education, labor, government, women's activism, family, violence, HIV/AIDS, health and reproductive issues, environmental issues, social entrepreneurship, and non-governmental organizations. This course will be taught in South Africa. Offered spring semester. Prerequisites: Permission of the instructor and minimum GPA of 2.5. Corequisite: WGS 493
