Considers the way in which ideas and values are socially constructed and contextually grounded. Specific focus on the historical, socioeconomic, psychological, and political construction of death and dying in the United States. A comparative aspect is also provided. Part of Death and Dying theme. Offered winter semester. Prerequisite: Junior standing.
