HST 314 - African American History

Examines the history of African Americans from forced migration through the Civil Rights movement. Issues studied include race relations, black culture in slavery, emancipation, the origins of segregation, the great migration, and the Civil Rights movement. Offered fall semester of odd-numbered years. Prerequisites: HST 205, HST 206, or junior standing.
