SW 616 - Law, Ethics, and Social Welfare

Examines the relationship between law and social welfare as it impacts on human rights and social work practice. Evaluates major value positions in social work practice from personal, philosophical, historical, and political perspectives. Major ethical dilemmas in the practice of social work are outlined and models for ethical decision making will be presented. Offered every other year. Prerequisites: SW 610.
