PHI 311 - Ancient Great Philosophers

A study of one or several ancient great philosophers, such as the pre-Socratics, Plato, Aristotle, Lucretius. Focus will be on the philosophers' writings, but attention will also be given to context and tradition. May be repeated if content differs. Prerequisite: Prior work in philosophy or permission of instructor.
