HST 386 - Europe since World War II

Examines Europe from the end of the Second World War to the present. Topics include: post-war Europe; the Soviet bloc; the Cold War; decolonization; political, social, and cultural developments in East and West Europe; the European Economic Community; the disintegration of the Communist bloc; contemporary Europe. A supplemental writing skills course. Part of Global Change theme. Offered fall and winter semesters. Prerequisites: Historical Perspectives Foundation or junior standing.
