HST 341 - A History of East Asia since 1800
Introduces major themes of history of East Asia (China, Japan, Korea, Vietnam), from 1800 to the present. Explores socio-political interactions with the West as well as the changing identities of East Asia in the modern world. Also involves basic skills, such as critical reading and writing. Offered winter semester, even-numbered years.
