HST 315 - Latinos: The Forging of Ethnic Identities

Examination of the ways in which Mexicans, Cubans, Puerto Ricans, Central Americans, and others have over time created ethnic identities in the United States out of their transnational experiences. Also explores the impact of this process on American political, economic, and social structures. Part of American Mosaic theme. Offered winter semester. Prerequisites: Completion of Historical Perspectives Foundation or junior standing.
