GEO 305 - Resource Exploitation in the Third World

Numerous nonrenewable fuel (energy) and non-fuel (mineral) resources are exported from developing countries for use by industrialized nations. This course examines the relationship between geology, location, and production/exportation of third world resources by developed nations and the implications of resource depletion. Part of The New Third World theme; not included in the Geology/Earth Science major or minor. (3-0-0) Prerequisites: Junior standing and completion of physical and life sciences foundation. General Education requirement.
