EGR 401 - Advanced Product Design

Advanced topics in product design are integrated to prepare students to develop a prototype into a manufacturable design. The course will cover topics such as analysis of competitive product, protection of intellectual property, product architecture, material and process selection, experimental design, advanced tolerance analysis, rapid prototyping and risk amelioration. Course material will be reinforced with design project work. Offered winter semester. Prerequisites: EGR 301.
