EGR 366 - Combustion Applications

A comprehensive overview of combustion chemistry and the theory of reacting systems. The theoretical and practical aspects of the major technologies based on combustion are emphasized. Topics include internal combustion engines, liquid-propellant rockets, turbines and fossil fuel power plants. Environmental aspects and incineration issues are stressed. Offered spring/summer semesters of odd numbered years. Prerequisite: EGR 365 (may be taken concurrently).
