An introduction to data communications techniques, particularly as applied to computer networks. Physical media and devices, data link and network protocols, and other data communications topics will be studied. (3-0-2) Offered fall and winter semesters. Prerequisites: CIS 251 or EGR 326, CIS major or minor standing, or EGR major standing.
