AAA 355 - History of Underground Railroad

An exploration of the historical, political and cultural contexts out of which the American Underground Railroad and Abolitionists Movements emerged with emphasis on the important role the state of Michigan played in these Movements due to its geographical proximity of Canada. Part of the Civil and Human Rights Movement theme, and fulfills US Diversity Cultural Emphasis. Offered spring semester. Prerequisites: junior standing.
