STEPS is a Monday-Thursday day camp introduction to engineering and technology through the lens of aviation. Campers will build and fly a remote controlled airplane as the main activity. Campers will also participate in interactive classes in flight physics, aerodynamics, computer aided drafting, 3D printing, computer programming, engineering design, and flight simulator. Off-site field trips include trips to local aviation industries sites. On the last day of camp, campers will fly their radio controlled airplane at a sanctioned fly field surrounded by their families and friends. Everything is included at this camp including lunch, snacks, and transportation to field trips. Campers that will be going into the 6th, 7th, and 8th grades in Fall 2024 are eligible to apply.
