Description

This is a FREE week-long chemistry and biochemistry summer day camp where high school students will have the opportunity to engage in hands on experiments and activities involving pipetting, chromatography, intermolecular forces, molecular separations, synthesis, enzymes and drug discovery. Students will gain experience using advanced research instrumentation and learn about college and future research opportunities. The camp is led by several faculty in the Chemistry department at GVSU. On the last day, students will have an opportunity to present their results to faculty, friends, and family during a poster session!

Grand Rapids Public School students entering 9th-12th grade in Fall 2026.

Application Deadline: June 1, 2026

Applicants will receive notification of acceptance or waitlist status via email. If the applicant is accepted into our summer camp, the email will outline a link to fill out a final registration form with more details. Mail forms will be provided, as needed.

(Registration may close early on it's own, if the number of registrations has been met. Please email if you would like to be placed on a waitlist.)
